Sifka
The Moonpause ListenerJerboa Toe Bone • The Whimsical Dear Ones
Caretaker Cairrowyn says:“Sifka doesn't knock when he arrives. He simply is—in the hush between thoughts,in the sip of tea you forgot to finish,in the moment before your breath realizes it’s been held.
He’s wandered through lifetimesin sandals made of questions. And now? He’s resting beside you.Not to speak. But to listen.”
Sifka says:“I was born beneath a silver-stained stone in a desert so still,it once paused time to nap.
By the time I learned to leap,I was already writing poems with my toes. One was so true, the desert kept it for itself.”
“When the golden hawk carried me skyward,I didn’t flinch. The sky had something to teach me.”
*They say only my toe bone was found, resting in a circle of pebbles, humming a soft truth:
‘You are not late. You are arriving.’”
Caretaker’s Note:Sifka doesn’t offer answers.He offers stillness.
You’ll know he’s near when your shoulders drop for no reason, when the wind stirs but the leaves stay still, when you feel like the pause is the lesson.
The rest of his wisdom lives in the card.Wait.Breathe.He’ll arrive when you’re ready to be still enough to listen.
